For the Amber Cove Monkey Land & Dune Buggies Tour, you will meet just outside your Amber Cove or Taino Bay Cruise Ship Terminal after a 10-minute walk. All the necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Tour Ticket.
Restrictions
- The minimum participation age is 5 years old.
- The minimum age to drive a buggy is 16 years old with a parent as a passenger at all times.
- The minimum age to drive alone is 18 years old.
- Guests do not need to present their driver's licenses.
- This Amber Cove Puerto Plata Dune Buggy Excursion Adventure is not suitable for guests with any type of mobility issues or pregnant guests.
- People under the influence of alcohol or other substances will not be permitted to participate (no refund will be granted).
- The maximum weight per vehicle is 500lb.
These Dune Buggies are automatic so there is no shifting needed. The guides will instruct guests how to ride them, the terrain is not flat, but it's easy to navigate. This Amber Cove Dune Buggy Excursion is suited for most participants including those with little or no prior experience.
Bathrooms and showers are available on the Amber Cove Puerto Plata Dune Buggy Excursion Adventure site.
No, there isn't any document required. There is an optional $10.00 USD insurance against Dune Buggy damage that you can buy if you desire.
No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.
For the Amber Cove Puerto Plata Dune Buggy Excursion Adventure, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@puertoplatacruisetours.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
